Google the search giant, smart watch maker?

Google may be trying to bring back the wristwatch, or at least a tiny computer that looks like one.
Though the question isn't whether or not the device is possible. Google already patented a smart watch complete with flip-up display last October.
The harder question to answer is: will it sell? According to a Business Insider source, Google is in the process of trying to figure out just how to market such a device.

Google on your wrist

Of course, the smart watch would do more than just tell time. Google could feed users GPS directions, product info and email notifications through the wrist computer.
According the the patent, the flip-up display would be transparent to some degree, allowing the screen to overlay info onto the real world, augmented reality style.
Though the smart watch may fulfill a few sci-fi fantasies, the fact that Google might be close to selling the wrist candy isn't far fetched.
Project Glass is Google's other pet project in wearable computing. For the unfamiliar, it's a pair of smart glasses that also features a transparent screen to view the world through and get info.
And it doesn't sound like the Google glasses are that far away. There has already been talk that Project Glass will release to the public in 2014, though the first wave of the device would go under the "Explorer Edition" brand.
Developers, however, will get the chance to go hands on with Google Glass during two events - one scheduled for later this month and another at the beginning of February.

High (tech) fashion

Wearable computers may be the haute couture in years to come.
Apple recently received a patent for a shoe equipped with sensors and a processor. Well known smart watches made by Pebble started shipping a few days ago after a rousing Kickstarter campaign.
If Google does break out a smart watch, it would be a perfect way for the company to push some of its hyper-local advertising. Perhaps the watch would tip wearers onto new coffee shops in their area, or offer discounts on items in the local grocery story?
We may soon be living in a world where our clothes are smarter than we are.

Limited edition red and blue Sony PS3 Super Slim consoles confirmed for UK

The new red and blue versions of the PS3 Super Slimconsole will go on sale in the UK and Europe on February 15, Sony has confirmed.
The attractive Garnet Red and Azurite Blue devices will come packing 500GB of storage and two DualShock controllers in matching colours.
The limited edition consoles are available to pre-order now from Amazon.co.uk for £249.99.
Meanwhile, gamers in the US will get a white-hued version of the console, which will come with a single controller and a year's subscription to PlayStation Plus, according to CVG.

Last harruh?

The new PS3 paint job will be seen by many observers as an attempt by Sony to squeeze some more life out of the six-year old console before the expected PS4 announcement in the next few months.
However, a Sony statement on the newly-painted consoles suggests the company is by no means ready yet to relegate the PS3 to a secondary concern.
The company said: "This year, PlayStation 3 continues to grow from strength to strength with a huge line up of exclusive AAA titles and brand new franchises including The Last of Us, Beyond and Puppeteer."
The latest rumours surrounding the PS4 suggest that Sony may be preparing for a pre-E3 announcement as soon as May.

Sony Togari could join the oversized smartphone brigade

Sony Togari - LEAK

6.44-inch displayed leaked

An image claiming to show the huge screen of a handset currently known as the Sony Togari has leaked online.
Picked up by Chinese site CNMO the display apparently measures 6.44-inches, dwarfing the already big Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and also toppling the ridiculously sized 6.1-inch Huawei Ascend Mate.
Super sized smartphones seem to be the in-thing at the moment with a host of 5-inch handsets making an appearance at CES 2013 and the success of Samsung's Note series hasn't gone unnoticed by its rivals.

Togari, or not Togari?

Little else is known about the rumoured Togari handset, but the screen is expected to feature a full HD, 1080p resolution.
Sony unsurprisingly isn't forthcoming when it comes to talking about future products, so there's certainly no guarantee the Togari or even a 6-inch plus handset is in the works over at the Japanese firm.
There's a chance that the Sony Togari could be unveiled at MWC 2013 at the end of February and TechRadar will be present at the firm's press conference to bring you the latest on any new devices.

BlackBerry Z10 to cost £480 unlocked from Carphone Warehouse?

We know what RIM's flagship BlackBerry Z10 smartphone will look like, what it's capable of and when it'll be launched. Now we've got the first indication of how much it will cost.
If leaked inventory shots prove to be accurate, the first handset to run the BB10 operating system will cost just a score short of 500 nicker, to use the parlance of our southern brethren.
Engadget has received a photo, claiming to be a shot of Carphone Warehouse's internal listings, showing a BlackBerry Z10 in white for the SIM-free price of £479.95.
The all-touchscreen affair will be officially revealed on January 30, although at this stage 'reveal' feels like too strong a word.

Full exposure

The device has been subject to more leaks than perhaps any gadget in recent memory. The Z10 has been seen numerous times in leaked photographs and hands on videos.
Just last week, a German blog posted a full hands-on comparison with the Z10 and the iPhone 5.
One has to wonder whether RIM will have anything left to surprise us with when its global launch events kick off on Wednesday. TechRadar will be there to let you know.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 pops up boxed and ready to go

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 series looks even more likely to make an appearance soon as a boxed slate appears online.
We've previously heard rumours that Samsung is readying 7- and 10-inch variants of a new range of tablets to fall under the Galaxy Tab 3 name for an MWC 2013 launch.
Phone Arena has now been sent a couple of images which apparently show a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 chilling out in its box ready to hit stores.

Lifting the lid
As with a lot of leaked shots of unannounced products the quality of these snaps is not brilliant, and it's not possible to read the text on the lid of the box other than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 name and the start of the model number: GT-P.
Judging by the size of the icons on the display image on the front of the box we assume this is a photo of the 7-inch Galaxy Tab 3, which will look to take on the Google Nexus 7Amazon Kindle Fire HD and Nook HD.
